Shell on Earth is a sustainable dressing ideal for Indoor Plants & Terrariums. Made from waste Whelk Shells, produced by a Sustainable Fishing Business in Cardigan Bay, Wales.
About Shell On Earth
Shell On Earth is part of a small family business run by husband and wife team Jordan & Caryl Andrews. They take the crushed whelk shells generated at the family’s seafood processing factory and recycle them for use in gardens and landscaping.
Their factory, which has been processing and exporting seafood for over 40 years, is set within the old Frondolau quarry at the Southernmost point of New Quay, a picture postcard fishing village in the heart of Cardigan Bay, West Wales.
Sustainability
The whelks are caught locally using traditional pots, a low impact method of fishing which means minimal damage to the sea floor and marine habitats. The guys over at Shell On Earth are passionately committed to sustainability.
